What are scented self-adhesive labels?
Scented self-adhesive labels are used to create a unique consumer experience and emotionally engage the consumer through the sense of smell.
The scent is activated when the surface of the label is rubbed. That’s why we call these “Rub & Smell” labels. It is recommended to indicate clearly in the label design how the consumer can discover and enjoy the scent.
To determine how the labels will smell, a selection of the most suitable scent samples is provided first. Once the preferred scent is tested and selected, it is ordered and applied to the full label production run.
The standard range of scents includes more than 150 different aromas: floral, woody, fruity, berry, herbal, spicy, as well as scents inspired by food, tobacco, or alcoholic beverages.
Additionally, scents can be selected from perfume-based collections, or—if needed—a custom scent can be created to match the product identity.
Scented labels are commonly used for:
• seasonal or limited-edition products (e.g. holiday packaging);
• beverages and food items;
• cosmetics and fragrances;
• candles and other aromatic goods.
